  California pioneer, farmer. Sailed from Boston on the bark “Callao” (349 tons, Dearborn, master), went around Cape Horn, arrived at San Francisco 31 Oct 1850, out 219 days, and settled in 1852 on virgin land near the present town of Wheatland. His wife, with three children, arrived at San Francisco on 1 Dec 1856 on the “Golden Age”, after a voyage via Panama.
